Longjohns – art. 63 U 797
Longjohns made in a ribbed Merino wool and silk fabric. The qualities of this fabric are lightness, softness and warmth. The 20% of silk added gives additional strength and softness.
How it’s made
The production process for this article is very long and everything is produced in house, to enable us to maximise quality control. The pattern is developed on CAD (Computer Aided Design) and all the pieces are optimized to ensure a perfect fit; Finally the garment is assembled with maximum care and precision.
The use of the computer allows us to have the utmost accuracy in shaping and size developing; using this system we do not have any size limits, enabling us to realize bespoke garments on clients request.
Charateristics of longjohns made in wool and silk
This garment has an ideal fit which is particularly comfortable; in addition it is invisible when worn under trousers. The main charateristics of this garment are its warmth, softness and an excellent hygroscopicity, the ability to absorb perspiration; wool and silk is a very soft and warm fabric, we add the silk to stabilise and make the final garment even more durable.
Consequently, these qualities make this very light fabric ideal for winter underwear with an excellent fit and no constrictions. The fabric combined with the very comfortable cut, makes this garment, perfect in cold months.
Furthermore, in order to make our garments even more comfortable, we produce them with an adjustable waistline; the waistband has a 3 button closure which allows you to regulate the size in addition the fly is cut on the diagonal in order to guarantee total cover. As a result of this particular cut, whatever size you choose the coverage is always excellent.
This garment is perfect after washing, because the silk when added to the wool brings stability, softness and prevents felting.
The colour
This garment is made with fabric which uses a coloured a thread, so the fabric is made already coloured and no dyeing is necessary; the results of this process are brightness, deep tone and a great resistence to fading
